1. APPLICABILITY OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.1 These terms and conditions (“T&C”) set out your agreement in relation to your purchase of Seken Je’s Eligible Device and use of the Service (“Agreement”) and supersedes all prior understandings, arrangements, and agreements.
1.2 You acknowledge that you have read and understood this T&C. Your Agreement upon the Effective Date constitutes your unconditional acceptance to be bound by this T&C which may be amended at the Company’s discretion from time to time.
2. DEFINITIONS
2.1 As used in this T&C, the following terms have the respective meanings set forth below:
- “Business Hours” means the business hours of Seken Je’s retail stores as set out on Seken Je Website;
- “Customer” means the person who purchases an Eligible Device from any of Seken Je’s sales channels, including retail stores, the website, and e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.;
- “Effective Date” means the date upon which the Customer purchases the Eligible Device;
- “Eligible Device” means products offered under this Programme that can be purchased from Seken Je, including Computers and Mobile Devices;
- “Computers” means secondhand laptops, All-In-One PCs (AIO PCs), and desktop PCs available for purchase through any of Seken Je’s sales channels, including retail stores, the website, and e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop;
- “Mobile Devices” means secondhand handheld devices and portable electronic gadgets, such as smartphones and tablets, designed for various functions, with a display screen, supporting one or more wireless network connectivity options, and operated using voice, touch, or a miniature keyboard, available for purchase through any of Seken Je’s sales channels, including retail stores, the website, and e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop;
- “Seken Je” means Seken Je Sdn. Bhd. (Company Registration No.: 1454628-P);
- “Seken Je Warranty Programme” or “Programme” means a warranty programme provided by Seken Je;
- “Seken Je Website” means the website located at https://www.sekenje.com/ and its subdomains and any subsequent URL which may replace it;
- “You” or “Your” means the customer who seeks to claim warranty under the Company’s warranty terms and conditions.
2.2 In this T&C, unless the context otherwise requires, the following shall apply:
- words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa, words importing any gender include every gender; and
- the provisions, clauses, titles, headings and subheadings are for convenience of reference only and shall not affect the interpretation of this T&C.
3. SEKEN JE WARRANTY PROGRAMME
3.1 The products covered under this Programme is inclusive of:
- Mobile Devices; and
- Computers.
3.2 The services covered under this Programme is inclusive of:
- Warranty defect;
- Repairing of Mobile Devices or Computers;
- Replacement of Mobile Devices or Computers; and
- Call services during Business Hours
(The services listed under Clause 3.2 of this T&C shall collectively be called the “Services”).
3.3 To be eligible to enjoy the Service, you must have first purchased the Eligible Device from any of Seken Je’s sales channels, including retail stores, the website, and e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
3.4 Upon purchasing the Eligible Device, you are automatically enrolled in the Programme with respect to your Mobile Devices or Computers from the date of the purchase of such Eligible Device.
3.5 The Programme is confined only to the original purchaser of the Eligible Device and shall not be transferable to any subsequent purchaser thereof.
4. WARRANTY COVERAGE PERIOD
4.1 Both Mobile Devices and Computers are covered by a limited warranty of one (1) year that begins on the Effective Date, unless otherwise specified in the sales terms and conditions.
4.2 For detachable parts, such as batteries, they will be covered for 1 month from the Effective Date.
4.3 For non-detachable parts, such as sealed batteries, they will be covered for the full duration of the warranty from the Effective Date.
5. COVERAGE AND EXCLUSIONS
5.1 Unless expressly provided for, the warranty for both Mobile Devices and Computers does not cover the following cases:
- Cosmetic damage or normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or cosmetic imperfections;
- Issues resulting from normal wear and tear that do not affect the hardware functionality of the device;
- Damage caused by accidental drops, misuse, neglect, improper handling, misapplication, faulty installation, improper maintenance, improper voltage supply, interference from or with other electronic devices, alteration, or improper modification;
- Issues resulting from the use of accessories;
- Network issues not resulting from hardware failure;
- Software issues, including but not limited to, operating system updates, application compatibility, or user-installed software; and
- Issues resulting from the use of accessories or components not provided or approved by Seken Je.
- Free gifts/Giveaways included with any purchase are not covered under warranty.
5.2 You specifically acknowledge that no warranty cover shall exist in instances where the Eligible Device is stored, operated, and/or utilized out of specification.
5.3 Repairs, installations, modifications, and removal of the Eligible Device shall only be carried out by Seken Je authorized service personnel. If these actions are performed by anyone other than Seken Je, the warranty shall be void
5.4 Cosmetic conditions for each graded product will not be accepted or approved for any warranty process unless:
- The condition of the product is different from the grading scale that has been gazetted.
- There are cosmetic defects that go beyond normal conditions for each grade.
5.5 Seken Je bears no responsibility for your loss of data; please ensure that all data is removed from the device before booking in for warranty or returning the Eligible Device.
6. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
6.1 Seken Je will only accept Eligible Device returned following the warranty claim procedure.
6.2 To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

- For E-commerce platform (Shopee/Lazada/TikTok, etc.) purchases, first contact customer service to report and apply for warranty.
- If troubleshooting is required, Seken Je Service Centre will take over the process. The customer will receive a message from Seken Je via WhatsApp.

- Provide proof of purchase (sales receipt number or invoice number) and picture of warranty sticker attached as requested.
- Describe the issue in detail and cooperate with Seken Je staff representatives in troubleshooting the problems.
- Before returning the device, you must remove the Apple ID or Google account from the device.
- Factory reset the device to protect your data and privacy. Seken Je is not responsible for data loss.
6.3 For invalid return/return not meeting the requirements, you will be charged for the delivery fee to return the Product to you at the same delivery address.
6.4 Prior to Seken Je receiving the Eligible Device, the risk of loss and title for such Eligible Device shall remain with you.
6.5 Seken Je reserves the right to inspect and verify the issues before providing the warranty services.
6.6 Seken Je reserves the right to reject any return deemed unfit or unreasonable and our decision in this regard shall be final and binding on you
7. WARRANTY SERVICE
7.1 Seken Je offers the following warranty services:
- Repair or replacement of smartphones or tablets of equal or similar specifications; and
- Repair or replacement of computers of equal or similar specifications.
7.2 Repairs and replacements of Eligible Device shall be at the discretion of Seken Je.
7.3 Warranty services may be provided using new, refurbished, or certified pre-owned parts or devices.
8. REPRESENTATION AND WARRANTIES
8.1 As from the date of this Agreement, Seken Je warrants that the Eligible Device put on sale in Seken Je’s retail stores shall be of Seken Je’s standard quality and are reasonably suited for the purposes for which they are generally intended. In the event that defects are discovered in the Eligible Device, Seken Je shall within its own discretion either repair the defect or replace the Eligible Device.
8.2 All Eligible Device sold by Seken Je shall not be sold as “fit for any specific purpose” unless so agreed upon in writing.
8.3 Seken Je makes no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, or non-infringement. Seken Je specifically makes no warranties as to any services or as to compliance with laws, regulations, standards and/or conventions in relation to the Eligible Device. No warranty shall apply to shipping damage, damage caused by improper installation, Eligible Device that have been modified or altered in any way, damage caused by corrosion, abrasion, or severe temperatures, or Eligible Device that have been subjected to improper maintenance, abuse, misuse, abnormal usage, storage, or accident.
8.4 You warrant that you shall fully comply with all directions for the handling, storage, possession or use of the Eligible Device hereunder and you agree that you shall indemnify and hold Seken Je harmless from all claims (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees) of personal injury or property damage resulting from any negligence, recklessness or wilful misconduct on your part or from any failure of you to comply with the terms of this Agreement.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 While Seken Je use its reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information on the Seken Je Website or displayed in the store, Seken Je makes no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.
9.2 Seken Je's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the Eligible Device. In no event shall Seken Je be liable for any indirect, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Eligible Device.
9.3 No liability for damages will be attributed to Seken Je resulting from unsuitable or improper use, improper assembly and improper commissioning or handling by you or by third parties, normal wear and tear or premature erosion due to the nature of the material or the nature of its use, improper or negligence handling or storage, or improper maintenance
10. TERMINATION
10.1 Seken Je may immediately terminate your Programme and this Agreement at any time if Seken Je reasonably believes that:
- you are using the Programme and/or Service (whether intentionally or not) in a way that may adversely impact the reputation of Seken Je;
- you are using the Programme and/or Service in a manner which is, or is reasonably believed to be, fraudulent, illegal or related to any criminal activity, intended to make a commercial gain;
- you have breached, or are likely to breach, this T&C or have engaged in cheating;
- you are or may become bankrupt or unable to pay your debts as they fall due;
- you have provided Seken Je with incorrect, false or incomplete information;
- you are likely to create imminent harm or harass or are abusive to any personnel of Seken Je and its service providers, sub-contractors and agents; or
- for any other reason at Seken Je’s sole discretion
10.2 Your Programme and this Agreement will terminate immediately if Seken Je discovers that you have transferred, sold, displayed for sale, or let on hire your Eligible Device.
10.3 If the Programme and/or this Agreement has been terminated for an Eligible Device, the Eligible Device will no longer be covered by the warranty and you will not be entitled to a warranty claim.
11. VARIATION
11.1 The Programme and these Terms & Conditions are subject to change, withdrawal, termination, or suspension at any time. Seken Je will notify you of any changes through the Seken Je website. If you continue to purchase from any of Seken Je’s sales channels, including retail stores, the website, and e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, you will be deemed to have agreed to those changes.
12. SEVERANCE
12.1 If any part of this T&C shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be severable from the T&C and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining provisions.
13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
13.1 This Agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with it, its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Malaysia.
13.2 You irrevocably agree that the courts of Malaysia shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with, this Agreement, its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
14. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
14.1 You hereby agree and accept that this Agreement shall constitute the entire Agreement between you and Seken Je relating to the subject matter contained in this Agreement and supersede all prior or contemporaneous negotiations, commitments and understanding between you and Seken Je, whether oral, written or otherwise.
15. GENERAL INDEMNITY
15.1 In no event will Seken Je, be liable to you or anyone else for any indirect, exemplary or consequential damages, or any damage arising out of or in connection with your access, use of, or your inability to access or use the Programme and/or Service or the performance or non-performance of the Programme and/or Service.
15.2 Whenever applicable, under no circumstances will Seken Je be held responsible or liable in any way for any claims, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities whatsoever resulting or arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with (i) your use of or inability to use the Service or Programme; (ii) your reliance on the information and material on the Website; and/or (iii) the T&C
15.3 You agree to indemnify Seken Je fully from any third party claims arising out of your negligence
16. FORCE MAJEURE
16.1 Seken Je shall be under no obligation or deemed to be in default for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control (e.g. strikes, floods, earthquakes etc.), such as events, which may cause or attribute to a delay in non- availability of Mobile Devices or Computers.
